Social Worker
The Social Worker is assigned to a specific service, presently this position will manage a caseload of inpatient and outpatient pediatrics. Responsibilities include assessing clients and their families and providing interventions aimed at assisting clients and families cope with health related issues. The Social Worker will have mastery of the instrumental issues associated with the health crisis and be able to incorporate these into counselling regarding emotional issues. The incumbent will share social work responsibilities in the department including coverage for holidays and sick leave as well as the weeknight and weekend standby rotation.
CONTINUING CARE ASSISTANT
Provides personal care and activities of daily living for clients/patients/residents to encourage optimum level of functioning. Supports clients/patients/residents in meeting their physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs.
Required Qualifications
- Continuing Care Assistant certificate
Experience
Previous: No previous experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills, where required by the job
- Valid drivers license, where required by the job
- Organizational skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to work independently
