Members of the Paladin Security team:
• Have access to Paladin’s 50 safety and security related training courses and an in house trainer
• Develop the skills necessary to become a security professional

• Have their Security License paid for by Paladin

Essential Job Functions:
• Provide a high level of customer service in a challenging and dynamic environment
• Monitor site visitors, cameras, and alarm systems to ensure safety and access in accordance with site policies and procedures
• Respond professionally to site emergencies (alarms, medical emergencies, fires and other urgent matters)
• Prevent theft, violence or infraction of rules and regulations
• Prepare and maintain professional and effective reports regarding the activities, security violations, and hazardous occurrences on site
• Effectively communicate all suspicious activities, concerns, issues, and events to our dispatch team on behalf of the clients assets
• Conduct routine site patrols and vehicle inspections
• Strong ability to work in and adapt to changing weather

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• MUST have a Clean Criminal Record.
• Demonstrated superior customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (afternoons/evenings/ nights and weekends).
• Must be bondable and provide 3 non-family references upon hire.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Provide front of office support including first point of contact for all individuals coming into the office
• Respond to telephone, e-mail and in-person inquiries from employees, clients, business partners, and all other stakeholders
• Ensure visitors follow sign-in procedures
• Maintain effective communication, information flow, and rapport between all team members in Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Calgary
• Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services and accounts payable to our head office
• Send reminder emails to new employees with training dates and times
• Responsible for security license renewal reminders
• Administer English proficiency exams to applicants before their interview
• Manage cheque reconciliations
• Complete employee uniform returns
• Manage, administer and track employee purchase orders
• Order office supplies and ensure supply area is stocked and monitored
• Maintain the reception and kitchen areas in a tidy and in a presentable manner (though this is a team effort by all office members)
• Responsible for the safety of visitors

As directed by various department managers:

• Responsible for typing forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary

• Provide clerical support as needed to the Executive team, Client Service Managers and the Human Resources team such as filing, scanning, coordinating appointments and arranging meetings

• Conduct reference checks as needed, accept and review hiring processes when applicants walk into the front door inquiring about job opportunities

• Support the Human Resources team during career fairs and open house interview days

• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma; Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset

• Excellent written and oral skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management

• Strong computer skills; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

• Able to work effectively and efficiently in a deadline driven environment

• Strong time management, multitasking, problem solving, team work and organizational skills

• Must be outgoing, sociable, adaptable, and detail oriented
