Open Pit Breakthrough Planner

We are seeking an individual to provide direction and support to the operations group to help achieve and surpass the mine’s safety and production targets.

Responsibilities:

• Design specialized detailed drilling layouts and breakthrough plans employing established guidelines that allow safe drilling, proper blasting and good mining conditions in breakthrough areas.
• Take leadership role in the review, approval and issuing of breakthrough plans and ensuring that only approved plans are in circulation.
• Collect and document actual breakthrough information reported by drillers on standard daily reporting sheets (void sheets), and updating plans if required.
• Design probe drilling layouts to delineate subsurface voids more accurately where information is lacking.
• Assist with pit surveying, short range planning and projects to help manage workloads and as part of cross-training to strengthen the team.

Warehouse Technician

Will be directly responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials from supplier to end user by supporting the day-to-day needs of operational activities and providing warehouse services that ensure high quality supply, storage and distribution of goods at Goldcorp Red Lake Gold Mines.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by locating and retrieving warehouse and direct-charge goods; arrange for pick-up or delivery as required.
• Ensure all material requisitions are completed correctly when removing stock items; assisted when required.
• Ensure that received goods match the packing slips submitted with the orders; print labels.
• Record transaction number from receipt on packing slip and forward to Accounting.
• Ensure that all short or damaged shipments are recorded and reported.
• Review and coordinate reservation requests; coordinate delivery of material.
